In The Beginning.....

Even my dog was laughing at me....

After A Bath...

Start of Deck Repair...

Removed the fiberglass skin with a dremel tool to get to the rotten transom.  It was good enough to use for a pattern.

This is basically all that was left....

The new transom is a layup of 3/4" and 1/2" marine plywood with a fiberglass mat core.

New transom installed...

Starting to come together....

Keel, frames and floorboards replaced... glassed in with poured floatation.

The front seat is a removable fish box....  Sten has helped a lot!

More detail..

The back seats are high, with access underneath...

The back seats have a flip up lid for access.  Or as Sten observed... they could be converted to toilet seats...

Double reinforced the transom with biaxial cloth and more mat

After 54,637 hours of sanding.....

We were finally able to spray the primer.... SystemThree WR-155

Now it's starting to look like a "new" Point No Point Boat.... SystemThree WR-LPU Topcoat Fox Orange

After a coat of paint...

Just installed the seats...

Launch Day....

Even though the boat isn't finished, we had enough done to put it in the water.... We couldn't wait...

Paying Respect....

We stopped by our old friend Shorty's to show him the boat before the launch.  He helped build these boats 40 years ago.

Christening....

We decided it would be appropriate to christen the boat with a 40 oz. bottle of cheap beer - Miller High Life.... The champagne of beers.

Nicci couldn't break the bottle over the bow.  So we did the sure thing and smashed it on the transom...

Headed Out...

This was a big moment..... especially for Borge...

Opening Day - July 16,2008
